2024 Wayne Clement Memorial Scholarship Award

Each year, the Norwood Basketball Association (NBA) awards scholarship(s) in the memory of Wayne Clement.  Wayne Clement was a wonderful father, coach and volunteer in our community, who gave many years to help the children of Norwood learn the game of basketball.

The scholarship is awarded to former NBA participants who have demonstrated good sportsmanship during his/her participation in the NBA and have given back to the NBA. In general, there will be up to four (4) $500 scholarships awarded per year. 

The award is open to any Norwood resident, whether in public or private school, who intends to continue his/her education at an accredited college, university, postgraduate school or receive technical/vocational certification/licensing.

Any interested student must complete the application attached and essay for consideration no later than May 1, 2024.  The NBA Scholarship Committee will evaluate all completed applications and announce the recipient(s) in June 2024.  Please forward all paperwork to: NBA, PO Box 842, Norwood MA 02062.
